If you have found your way to this web page then I imagine you
must really love children and have their best interest at heart. Maybe you were abused or effected in some way by child abuse.
I started this site because I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I wanted parents and children to know the facts
about childhood sexual abuse and also to know that there is hope to move on from it. I am hoping to start a support group
for survivors of sexual abuse in my local area of Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
My brief story:
I was abused from ages 5 to 10 and this was an every
weekend thing. My perpetrator was someone we knew and trusted, my babysitter. I wont go into details as they are very graphic
and can tend to trigger other people who have been through what I have. Let's just say I have had many years of counseling
and I am finally at a point in my life where I feel I can offer my help and knowledge to people going through it or know someone
who is. I have been in a very dark place and have come out on top! Turning this negative into a positive has been a
long road but i am living proof it can be done.
I am proud to say I am now a happy and blessed mother of
three beautiful children and I work tirelessly to keep my children and other children safe.
My goal is to start a support group for the survivors especially
children of sexual abuse. I want them to see there is life outside the pain. That being able to tell someone this is
happening is the best thing you can do. No one knows how it feels unless you have gone through it. The reason I want
to help the children is because while I was being abused I had no one to talk to. He instilled so much fear in
me I felt I couldn't tell anyone about it. I want children to know how to stay safe, that they can ask for help from Parents,
School Counselors, their Principal, Police, a trusted friend or neighbor .... ANYONE!
When you are scared you don't trust anyone during this time.
You may also be afraid it will get worse or they will hurt your family. The children must know the abuse can be stopped!
